About Amber
Hi, I’m Amber.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Work Associate in North Carolina. First and foremost, I am human. I understand how overwhelming it can feel to be stuck in cycles of anxiety or trauma, and how isolating it can be when it seems like no one truly understands what you’re going through. Experiencing panic can feel like it takes over your body—making it difficult to think clearly or even catch your breath—while still trying to appear as though everything is okay on the outside.
I believe that every person has the capacity to heal and grow beyond past trauma, anxiety, and depression when given the right tools and support. I work with adolescents and adults navigating these challenges and strive to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel understood and begin to move forward.
For those who are interested, I am happy to incorporate a Christian faith-based approach into our work together.

My Style
My approach is relaxed, collaborative, and centered on meeting you where you are. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, supported, and understood at every stage of your journey.
Training
- Master of Social Work (MSW), East Tennessee State University
- Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) – Basic Skills
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)
Background
I have experience working with teens navigating the foster care system, as well as in government economic services and community mental health settings serving low-income families. These experiences have provided valuable insight into how environmental factors impact mental health.
Most recently, I have worked as a social worker and counselor in an elementary school setting.
Outside of Therapy
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dogs, especially going to the lake. I am an avid animal lover and find joy in being around them. I also enjoy unwinding through creative activities and crafts of all kinds—and I welcome clients who enjoy crafting to bring that interest into session if it feels helpful.
